Question Two Kinda Stupid questions followed by a REALLY stupid question...

Will Java 2 work with mac OS 9.1? If so, can I download Phex and have it work??

Now Here's the really, really, REALLY stupid question!!: I know that I do not have Java2 or OSX but why when I download phex does it NOT give me a program?? It gives me four objects that have .jar at the end of the names.

Please keep all "this guy is an idiot" comments to yourself as I already know and you don't have to tell me. : )

Cool Java 2

For your first questions: Apple currently develops their own Java currently and has decided to develop Java 2 for OS X only.

Next the .jar files are just one of the ways that java applications a packaged to be cross platform. The phex.jar is the actual application and the other three are just, what we mac uses call, Libraries like the RezLib that comes with AirBurst.

When you get OS X I suggest you download MacPhex which is JUST a program and comes with some extras for OS X. Also if you download MacPhex on OS 9.x it may just show as a folder.
