![]() Ok, this has been posted before but here it is as top of a thread for any who are having trouble connecting to the hosts provided with Furi. The hosts that Furi tries to connect to by default never connect so you have to add a couple to make it work. Here is how. Install your Furi program and run it. After it starts and tries to connect exit the program. Go to your directory where you installed Furi (windows default c:\program files\furi) and there you will find the furi.hosts file. Edit it with any text editor such as notepad and place at least these two lines in the file: router.limewire.com:6346 gnutellahosts.com:6346 Save and exit, restart Furi. In the hosts detected field your new entries will be at the bottom as the Furi defaults always take the top spots. Voila! Remember you must run Furi at least once after installing or the furi.hosts file does not exist, it is created at initial runtime. |

![]() Whooaahh complicated.... Here is the fast way: 1. Start Furi 2. Go to the "Gnutella Net" tab 3. There is a field in the centre where you can enter a host like "gnutellahosts.com:6346" 4. Enter a host there and press "connect" 5. Voila, your hostcach will fill with peers |

![]() Or the "Bad Java ***"-way: Edit the source of the "HostManager.java". In the getStarterHosts() method are the default hosts that are used when you click "Reset" under the hosts tab. Just enter the ones you want to use for startup and recompile Furi. |
