A few Phex questions

Hello,
As a new gnutella user I recently instaled Phex (and java).
It is the 3rd client i am trying (after Gnotella and Bearshare+Adaware ).
Bearshare and Gnotella have a more user friendly appearance, But when it comes down to downloading Phex seems to do better than the other two (fewer search results, but most of the results actually do start).
Uploads seem to go better with the other two.
And I have a few more questions :

1,Is there a way to improve the uploading ?
2,Is it possible to use the mouse scroll button ?
3,There is a box where you fill in your Chat Username, Where is the chat ?
4,Is it possible to somewhat make my ip address less visible ? (all these copyright things are heating up)
