Reflectors w/ Phex? Hi again gang, I've been playing with Phex and I must say I'm really impressed with its ability to snag whatever I specify. One thing I'd like to do, however, is connect to gnutellanet via a reflector. I find that this drastically improves network performance for my roommates, who connect via the same cable. Phex doesn't seem to like to connect to the reflectors, though, and I'm not sure why. Here's the info I have: If I try to connect to a reflector host, Phex fails to connect, reporting "Error. Disconnected from remote host during initial handshake." Here are some reflectors I know of: 133.95.82.188:6347 64.31.3.35:6347 12.22.81.232:6346 I've been able to connect to these using Limewire and Bearshare, so I know they work. The reflectors themselves seem to go up and down, but I'm connected to 64.31.3.35:6347 as I'm writing this. Maybe there is some protocol difference that's causing Phex to dislike the reflectors? More information on the reflector software can be had at: www.clip2.com/reflector.html Thanks! |
