"Also words with less then 3 or 4 characters might be ignored by some clients."

So that explains why The Dubs is treated as Dubs. Presumably surroundong the search criteria with quotes ("The Dubs") won't work either. I'll look into your suggestion about refining the filters, as this could be the answer.
