Sharing independent movies I have been trying to use the Gnutella network to get exposure for my independent short movies. I could use any help thrown my way. All I ask is that if anyone has a free moment or bit of curiosity to traverse http://www.sequentialpictures.com and if you view something you like - place it in the shared folder of your client. I'd greatly appreciate it and I hope I haven't used this forum incorrectly - if so I apologize in advance. Thanks for you time. |
Looks Interesting... although Quick Time has given me nothing but trouble, I had to uninstall it... RM is plain evil about the only good one is probably DivX... but then there is issues with platform I'm guessing... |
Independent movies I personnally have never had any trouble with QuickTime. I believe it is one of the better programs for video distribution over the internet. Plus, I don't have the server space to have different formats. I had to pick the one I felt was right for me and go with it. |
DivX I can only recommend using DivX. It is a fantastic format AND it is open source. |
I also believe DivX is the dominant format on Gnutella, second to that is probably ASF and/or RM. Anyway from what I said earlier, it was partly my fault. Some website had something I wanted to watch, and required that I upgrade some component, so I upgraded the component and no the entire Quick Time, and that is when things went wrong with it. |
