![]() Unlike LimeWire, Phex successfully starts on my XP machine. However, it won't connect to ANYTHING. It does jack didily squat. It sits there looking pretty with the furry dog, but no functioning Gnutella Client. How do I fix this? |

![]() Usually this is only a problem of finding the first couple of startup hosts or still running GWebCaches... ...try to hit the query GWebCache button a couple of times... and make sure you have set a http proxy if its necessary for your environment. |

![]() Hey, like, dude...maybe you have a firewall set up? Try dude's proxy server setup, but, try downloading ZoneAlarm, ( www.zonelabs.com ) and opening the ports needed for your machine to communicate. Actually, ZoneAlarm does a pretty decent job of doing it FOR you, requesting whether you want a certain program to act as a server/client, etc. but anyway, what do i know? Shinmatai Free Advice is usually worth what you paid for it... |
