Default New Gnutella function for Phex. Please help me with syntax. I have theory

Like I stated before, I want to create a downloadable archive of everything an artist produced. This should be REALLY easy to do if I
knew the code and my IDE better... So I'll throw it up and ask for help.

Overview:

1) Give users the ability to catalogue everything an artist made into a file.

2) Allow users to use catalogues to run on Phex, leave the computer, and come back to have every work an artist made organized.

Small **** I may do later-
3) Allow users to combine two incomlete catalogues, into one more complete catalogue.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
How I want to go about doing it:
1) Allow users the ability to view/edit/save a catalogue.ctp file.

2) Allow users to specify multiple titles to search for, and a local name once a single one is downloaded.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Theory- Once users start creating catalogues, other users will download these catalogues to get all the art an artist produced. Or all the works of man produced in a certain sector. Maybe you just want all the works of Mozart, or you're just interested in all the compiled media from a television series... Instead of trying to ****ing find every episode individually, you'd be able to download a Ctp file and use it on your version...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

My question- I have forte for java because its free... I can make my own new classes, but it won't let me edit the classes already made... Whats up with that...

And another question-

---------------------
Illustration description

First off- Not shown- Under file

New collection
Open collection
Save collection
Close collection

Its obvious what new/open/save/close controls do, they allow the user control over what collection is being downloaded.

Shown in illustration:

Target file name- The file name it is saved under on the local computer. This helps a person organize their local collection instead of having a ton of different file names... And helps the future by pseudo-standardizing files.

#copies- Defaults to one... The number of different copies of the file you want to get in case one or more is corrupt.

Status- Waiting, Downloading, Completed X out of #copies

One of X files to download-The filename to leech from the gnutella network. Once one of any of these gets downloaded, its saved as the target file name. And its good.

One may think a click and download collection is an unhealthy leech to the Gnutella system.
I say they're retarded... When a person uses the Gnutella system, they would 2x click, and walk away. Idle time in between downloads or when the system is done downloading would default to share, and voila you have more sharing people.

Default I don't blame konrad for quitting

I ask for something as simple as adding a new tab on the main screen of phex so I can get my rusty Java skills kicking, and no one helps.

Seriously, I don't mind if the corporate people take over Gnutella if there isn't a single person who wants to help.

When making a building , you have architects and construction workers... When you build code, you only have a coder.

Default

Currently I believe that the gnutella network developers are looking into an XML kind of metadata/database information about your files (LimeWire had been leading this for a while http://www.limewire.com/index.jsp/metainfo_searches and is working with other developers, you should check out the GDF if you get a chance). So that you can search gnutella for an author name, album name, and/or song name or track, (or even non-music related files), etc, and the file names dont have to have all kinds of long and weird file names with what ever type of syntax someone thought was cool, their metadata will hold this information in an organized way. This may in turn eventually help out ideas like yours.

You might want to look at that standard and see if its possible to create tools like you mentioned for automaticly organizing files, its still under review by the gnutella community I believe.
