![]() Recently installed the new release, and since then Java 2 release 1.4.2_05 (which did not resolve the issue). I will download again and install again in case it's just a transfer or installation burp. 1. On starting Phex, get (~) "Error loading Look & Feel Java.lang.ClassNotFound Exception com.jgoodies.plaf.ExtMotifLookAndFeel" Phex then loads, connects, all seems happy. 2. Selecting Search tab results in screen problems - some parts of search screen appear, but most of previous screen is not overwritten. Minimize/maximize and Phex comes up completely blank. Mousing over the blank Phex screen causes certain items to appear. Very bizarre. Gregor may remember my having had some bizarre screen-drawing issues with 0.9.5.67, but that was on a different computer with different OS. Attached java debug info may be pertinent, lots of talk of Jcomponent.paint problems... Meanwhile, I'll try downloading it fresh and installing it again... -Bob |

![]() New download, new install, same error, same behavior. 0.9.5.67 may not be as pretty or as helpful, but since it's working fine I'll stick with it for now. Perhaps this is Phex rebelling against me because I haven't followed through on my promise to work on a faq/manual/help file? Perhaps I'll get started on that now... ![]() -Bob |

![]() Oh seems like Phex is remembering you very well ;-) I could reproduce your problem and fixed it for next release. It is caused by this ExtMotifLookAndFeel error. Without it everything should work fine again. Until the next release remove the error by deleting your phexgui.xml file. Gregor |

![]() Vietbob, I've starting writing a couple of documents you should probably be aware of it you're thinking of writing some help. Check out Undocumented.htm in docs/Phex/readme and Rating.htm in docs/Phex/specifications (under CVS). You can get them via http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.p...hex/docs/Phex/ if you prefer. |
