Default HTTP Proxy

Hello all

I am at a university and can only access the internet through an HTTP Proxy set on port 80. I am using Mac OSX 10.3.7 and Phex and was hoping someone knows a way to access gnutella with this set up - at the moment it is not connecting, even when I click on the HTTP proxy and put the proxy details in.

Thanks heaps
pug
