I just wanted to point out that this release is mainly Gregor´s work, so let´s all give him a big applause for implementing one of the most requested features (the search monitor´s OFF-switch).

I just packaged and released it.

Using it for MacOSX
 

I'm using phex for MacOSX.0.4 and it works fine (only one freezup, don't know why, and easily closed the prog and reopened).

But I had to learn how to use the command line before it worked.
If you want to get it to MacUsers, just include a Readme (MacOSX) in which you specify, that they should use the command line and the command:
java -jar <location of the phex.jar>

it works fine.

Especially the passive search is great when I search for something very popular (saves bandwith for all and I can let it run for hours, if necessary).

Or, you could download the fully packaged MacOS X version of Phex that comes with pretty icons and double click convenience.
