![]() We are trying to setup a private file sharing network with a small group over the internet using Phex and have had only limited success. After selecting a file to download, a status of Waiting is shown in the download frame and Ignored Candidate as a status in the candidates frame. At this point the file never starts downloading. We observed the inability to download files occurs after phex is exited and run again after a new install Temporary workaround found by uninstalling and reinstalling Phex each time it's exited Using Win XP pro, java j2re1.4.2_07, Phex 2.1.4.80 (beta) Start Phex and disconnect from public gnutella network All clients set the same network port and private network name Connect to remote ip address of private network client At this point on a fresh install all functions, browse host, search, upload/download appear to work properly. If a user exits Phex and reconnects to the private network, they are unable to download files. (Browse and search still work) I have been reading the forum to see if this problem has been noted elsewhere but did not find anything similar. Does anyone know if there a solution or new build that resolves this? |
