Default Change ip address of mounted drive - Mac client

Hi, I have updated a week ago to the latest version of phex for osx, it certainly seems a lot better than the older one I was using.

This evening I have been having a sortout of local (private) ipaddresses, in particular I use a smb mounted directory to store files on, not my workstation. The ipaddress of the server has changed from 192.168.1.14 to 192.168.1.41 and it now mounts under /Volumes/192.168.1.41. I can change directory to it and see both partial and complete files.
I have changed the settings in phex to match (/Volumes/192.168.1.41/mpg/Incomplete etc.), but when I start phex it gives all files of size zero bytes, as if I had just added them for download.
Has anyone seen this as I cannot find a reason for this.

Also on a slightly different area, I need to replace my local hard disk to give more space before upgrading to Tiger, where does phex store its settings and downloaded file info etc. I want to copy this to a server so I can copy it back after swapping the hard disk.

Regards,
Andrew

What was the old Incomplete directory name?
Phex stores the name of its partial files in its download settings. If you "move" the partial files to a different location Phex does not find them and assumes the download needs to start again...
The problem is... it also updates the download settings. Likley you will have almost no chance to recover the partial files... except maybe for the first segment.

Phex stores the settings in the directory '.phex' in your home directory. It contains a file called phexdownload.xml for your downloads.

The .phex directory is invisible. You can enter it by using the shortcut cmd-shift-g .

Thanks for the replies, I have been through the xml file, if I had known I could have done a search & replace on the new location of the files, ( or rather the new ipaddress).
And I'm annoyed I didn't think of looking for a .phex directory.

On a slightly different area, phex or is it java seems to have a memory leak of some sort, after it has been running for a day or so the hard disk space starts to reduce dramatically and will decrease to zero if left long enough. At this point the machine requires a hard reset.
So normally I have to restart every day to prevent this. I am unsure of where this space goes, the finder view does not show visible files decreasing, df agrees with finder about the space left, but does not give clues about space disappearing.
Is this something that has happened before?

Regards,
Andrew

Before getting to that memory hole and wasting much time on it, first try to install Tiger. It might solve the issue (though my Panther fares quite well with Phex...).

I had some memory-leaks with Java-Apps before, so I assume it is Java, but I'm not sure of it.
