Question "Copy for Viewing" does nothing?

Hi board! (Don't confuse with highboard!)

phex 2.6.4.89 on WinXP via socks-proxy.

The button "copy for viewing" should do what, exactly? On my system it seems to accomplish nothing at all. No file is copied to anywhere, nor are fragments put together to one larger part of the final result.

Is there any idea, an idea about how I might analyse the problem?

Thanks in advance and

cheers from Vienna

Matthew

This feature is not very well integrated in the current release. You would need to configure it by modifing your phex.cfg.

Please wait for the next release for better support.

Thanx!

By the way, this is but a question, NOT A NAG: is there a schedule, when the next release is due?

p.S.: I understand you are German? I'm Austrian, but for the sake of the "englishness" of the forum I'm writing this in English.

There are some major changes with downloads in the next release and we like to test them deeply before we publish something that corrupt your files.
Thats why it could take some more time till we are completly sure.
Maybe there will be a Beta available earlier.

P.S: Have you tried the two german translations... if you have any improvement suggestions we are happy to hear about them.

I actually work with the "serious" German translation and find it very well. I'll keep my eyes open and if there's anything I might contribute I won't hesitate to do so. As a matter of fact, I'd love to help, but there's the problem that I'm absolutely not "in" p2p-networking. I'm just beginning to understand the problems and henceforth the solutions.

Congratulations for that fine piece of software!

I found this and also posted it in a different thread.

Well the preview function 'Copy for preview' is not working very well and quite difficult to configure. I think the preview can be somehow enabled if you specify:

previewMethod_mp3 = path/to/executable

Check this document for more info, but be aware that these things might change in the next release or get dropped completly...
