Vanishing downloads Hi, I was donwnloading some files for a few weeks without any problems but yesterday, when I had opened Phex, I found that all my unfinished downloads vanished from the list of downloads. All the segments are still in the folder, but they are no more downloaded or seen by the program. Is there any way to import them back? My connection to the internet is very slow and I have two or three almost downloaded films there. Re-downloading them again will take me a few weeks :( |
What Phex version are you using? Unfortunatly there is no way to recover from lost download data. You can check if you have a backup of the phexdownload.xml in your phex user folder. Phex versions before 2.8 were much more vulnerable to download problems. Thats why we completly changed the download concept in 2.8. The update to 2.8 is also an area were Phex could fail to convert your downloads. But once you are on 2.8 things should go much safer for you. |
I have this version: Phex 2.6.4.89 for Windows So, I should just update Phex and download all the things again. I'm not particularly glad about it, but I'll try it. I hope I wont lost any data any more after the update :) thank you :) |
Sorry... I know it hurts to download everything again... we do our best to prevent this from happening... You can make sure by crating regular backups of you user phex that contains the phexdownload.xml and phex.cfg Gregor |
