Default Host Error Message

I cannot connect because of the message "Remote host doesn't have password set". What's this ?
I have set "Join Network" in Phex and have a password typed in the entry field.

Hi!

You should post this in the Phex forum!

You don't need a password to connect to the general gnutella network

Hi,

You only need to provide a password in the Join Network Dialog of Phex if you like to connect to a private network based on the Gnutella protocol that is password restricted. To join the general Gnutella network no password is necessary.

Hi Gregor!

> network based on the Gnutella protocol that is password restricted

Is this a Phex modification to the Gnutella protocoll? I ask, because I have never seen this before.

Ah, the thread was moved here.

May I reask the question about passwords, is this a modification to the Gnutella protocoll? Is it something else?

Sorry, did not run Phex lately. Greets, Moak

Well, this was a extension of Furi. That is the original client that Phex is based on.
We just left this extension in Phex but are not developing it further. Maybe it is not used anywhere anymore. Maybe we will throw it out if we rework this part of the Phex code.
