Phex has stopped working for me... ...since I downloaded an update it goes through the motions but never finds any files... What should I do? |
...oh and I should explain. I am an idiot when it comes to technical terms... if you can help, could you make it ''idiot proof'' Many thanks. |
Which system do you use (windows, linux, maxosx, ...)? |
Windows XP. |
did you also update XP? As a test, try to the phex config-folder (contains phex.cfg), so phex doesn't find it and check, if it works better then. |
Try to rename it? |
uh... yes *ducks* :) I should lose verbs that carelessly ;) sorry... |
Erm.... *blank look* No I didn't update XP |
I've gone off Phex now and have gone to LimeWire, which actually seems to work. |
I wish you good luck there. Sadly we couldn't find out, why Phex didn't work on your configuration, but maybe a later version of Phex will work again, and we'd certainly be glad, if you'd give it a second try in a few months. Maybe we'll have spotted the bug then. PS: Sorry if I got too far into technicalities... can be carried away at times :) |
