:bangh: I thought this was limewire forum,first time user,sorry for posting here,but maybe other users of this forum (Phex) would like to respond to this thread.
Unfortunely for myself I have no idea what Phex is all about,nor interested at this time, but will look into it(but could use info how to set up a chat room (PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND IN THIS THREAD THOUGH) maybe in a new post (call it: How To Set Up A Chat Room) I'll be looking for it.

Phex is a Gnutella p2p program like Limewire, and it should give you similar search results, while allowing you to change some of the settings LimeWire hides from you.
It is a tad harder to use, though; a small price which very often comes with better configurability. :)

I like Phex, it tends to connect to different peers from LW. LW has a tendency to connect to LW peers. Phex tends to connect to a varied list of clients. And this in itself helps to find a lot of material LW had great difficulty in finding & even greater difficulty connecting to. So it's good for the rarer files IMHO.
