![]() I have had better luck downloading files with Phex than any other program. The only problem is the new version maxes out the cpu. Makes it hard to do anything with phex running in the background. My system shouldn't have a problem: Athlon 850 256M ram W2K Pro I haven't seen any other postings about this problem. Am I the only one with it? |

![]() There are two features that are using very high CPU. This is the search monitor and the background search. The high CPU usage for the search monitor are due to the very fast GUI updates. The CPU usage for the background search comes from the excessive string compare. I'm sure this can be improved. If anybody likes to work on it please feel free to look at the source and contact me. ![]() The number of files you share could also cause high CPU usage. See this old thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&threadid=3855 |
