RFC-Gnutella I don't know if anyone here is directly involved in RFC-gnutella, but isn't it about time the status pages of a number of the proposals were updated...? Would they want a hand with it? Secondly, is anyone working on gnutella protocol 0.7, and if so, is there any way I could help? (mostly web design/administration I'm afraid) |
Almost forgot: RFC-gnutella |

Most of those proposals are still not in wide use and are still just being used for experimental purposes as the status pages state. |
Well, specifically i was thinking gnucleus supporting supernodes/ultrapeers. I know it's recent, but since the page states "Last Updated : December 27, 2001" i'm sure someone would be just jumping at the opportunity to update it with something... anything.. :D Generally i was thinking it just needed a bit more detail on each of the pages, for example who was doing what, or what version a feature was introduced. The fact that they all just state "A small number of clients implement this proposal for experimental purposes" isn't indicating much work is going on. |
You're right... more detail would be nice. |
