Default List of UPs by type, or even just Ups

Is there a place i can find a textual lists of UPs (besides in the local host cache of an application)?

Is there a way for me to know which UPs are popular? Good UPs i should try to connect?

there isn't a rating of UP's, but there is an outdated list of vendors still visible here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/uastats.shtml

Here is the list of known Gnutella distributors, and some comments

cheers
