sample code Hey guys, this is my first post. I have been reading about the Gnutella network architecture for the last two weeks or so, and I am in need of a little guidance. Most of the open source projects I have been looking through are a little too extensive for me to learn the basics of using the network, so I was wondering if there is some sample code somewhere out there, just describing basics connections and what not. Just to let you guys know, I am working on a little project of a native p2p Gnutella system on the iPhone. Thanks guys!! ps, I know that I posted this in another section, but I am not sure what is the right section to post this kind of question lol :p |
You might try over here. Beta Program, This is where some of the Devs hangout. They may be able to offer up some assistance. :D |
You can find all of the Gnutella developers at: the_gdf : The Gnutella Developer Forum (GDF) |
thanks for the diretion guys  |
The beta program is where the _LimeWire_ devs hangout, who are far from the only devs :) |
I thought you would say another thing, Arne. But there are many more devs around. But they're afraid to change things (look at what happened, so some Gdevs *in particular Stoked* created G2), and they're afraid of the big fat LimeWire :p |
What did you think I'd say? |
I thought you said that the only Gnutella devs are the LimeWire devs, am I wrong? Excuse me then ;) |
I said "they are far from the only devs" which means "there are many others" (at least if my english isn't severly broken :) ) No offense taken :) |
