To buy or not to buy?

Of course I want to buy the LimeWire Pro and help developers to push this marvelous creation into the future, I am one of those Morpheus angry ex-users and I want to be excused for my ignorance but, will happen to LimeWire what´s happening to Napster, harassment and more harassment?
I want someone to convince me to buy LimeWire Pro, I am one of those customers who like to be talked by the sales people before buying anything.

Have you tried ...

Have you tried other options?

I started my gnutella-ing with LimeWire 2.2.4, but was none-to-impressed by a number of significant and avoidable bugs, and the lack of attention by LimeWire staff to these forums.

This I think is deplorable, because the support page on LimeWire's site points to these forums.

I also found the interface annoying, because I had to keep pressing 'repeat search' over and over and over and over.

I have heard that on Windows Gnucleus is as good or better than the commercial options. (I run linux, and the best I have found so far is gtk-gnutella. I haven't tried them all.)

This shows that you do not necessarily need to give money to encourage development, in the 'filesharing' world, and generally the world of open source.

Instead of giving encouragement to some folks who are already getting paid, why not encourage some folks who are trying to make software for free? :)

You'd be amazed at where a project like this can go when a bunch of people get excited about making something 'they own' collectively. Even the user can feel they are part of the project, where in a commercial forum the user often feels like they are the lowest priority.

To buy or not to buy....part 2

Yes, I guess those guys are getting well paid, meanwhile I am unemployed....I am an artist and use the computer as a powerful tool to enhance my creativity, so I wouldn´t really know what´s the difference when using Linux, but I have used Mac in the past and thought it was fantastic, the thing is I am still bewildered with LimeWire compared to Morpheus who became garbage and Audiogalaxy who were forced to cut down on all the best they have to offer leaving just a few crappy tracks online, so comparing all those things LimeWire came to me as a salvation, I cannot live without music and being unemployed the best thing that could happen was being able to download free music.

I loved Nosferatu´s quotation at the bottom of his reply, did Pope LionX really said that? I am reading a book about the amazing myth built around Jesus, a man nobody who ever wrote about him really knew in person and a church who became the most powerful corporation of all times based in "miracles" and lies.
