Reconnecting of half downloaded files Gnotella is the best thing since sliced bread. I share what little i have. I ALSO let people FINISH downloading unless i MUST REBOOT. My problem is when i have say 350 megs of a 375 meg file and I get cut-off. Gnotella TRYS to reconnect but usually the person is busy. How can i resume that file when i see one thats EXACTLY the same size and everything. Also why does Gnot put numbers infront of partial gets? is there a way for me to possibly rename my current 350meg file to the one that im getting at the current time... admin, i know you know what the hell im trying to say.... please respond..... thx |

Since version 0.9.9 of Gnotella the download has a number prefixed to the name. So if you start a new download from another site Gno will create a second file with a different prefix. Abort the download, manually kill the file and rename the first (95%) file to the name of the second file. Then continue downloading the second file. You better copy the big file twice before trying, as there is no guarantee the other site supports resuming - and if it does not you have nothing but a fairly large piece of bull****. |
