Firewall/WinME/Ad-aware instillation probs.....help .... 1st timer

i'm a newey to pc-ing and get confused ...... often. i'm trying to install LimeWire but i read about issues with Firewall/zone alarm. i just run the standard freebie spec software and the faq was on about IP's ?? and certain no.s that can't run along side LimeWire. i can't find any such no.s. i do not want to uninstall Firewall or Ad-aware. i have download both software (LimeWire and the java download) but it will not run. ????? any ideas? i will unistall both downloads and reinstall again incase there was a "glitch".
