I was told WinMX 3.1 was slow and buggy and just another beta-release that was just dubbed 3.1-

3.1 is the final release. 3. 0 was the beta. however its still possible that there might be updates. overall, 3.1 is a very stable client

Just tried WinMX 3.1 - and it's simply too slow for me, - I think I'll stick to LimeWire...

There are really a few people there sharing WáRrêz or movies and the those who do always want to "trade". there are also too many freeloaders (i believe) but if you want MP3s (in opposite of me) ,,,,,,,,,,, GO GET WINMX!!! (many 320 kbs mp3s. sounds good heh?)

the edonkey community is much more healthy and self-regulative... oh yeah, ed2k is not open source but then there's no centralised infrastructure, either.

at least no senseless trench wars are being fought on that end of the p2p frontline..... and after a year of witnessing the stuff that's going on here (the dogmatic 0.4/0.6 protocol wars / client wars / greed wars etc etc) i decided to participate in a community where i.e. leeching is impossible- if youre not sharing any files, you cant participate.
and that is a built-in feature of the client..
