Please take a look at Distinct socks firewall API library (http://www.distinct.com) - incorporate into your gnutella client/server program.

if Yahoo messenger works through the firewall, gnutella should be able to do the same

I go through a proxy server htpp. will i be able to connect?

I've got the same problem. I can't conntect throught a http proxy.
