unidirectional microwave link (connection)

I use limewire 1.3 and I want to know if the gnutella network work well with an unidirectional connection. I download with an 1.544mb/s microwave antenna and I upload with an 28.8k modem. is it a probleme wiht the network? and what speed should I choose T1 or modem?
