hello, i was told by some peeps that this was the place to post,
all i need to know is, what code string needs to be sent thru a socket to login to a nap server??
Please help

It actually isn't quite related to Gnutella itself (Gnutella is not OpenNap or Napster, you mentioned "nap server"). But that's ok.

Check out http://opennap.sourceforge.net/ for full details on how to connect, etc. OpenNap is/was based on Napster.
