where are the legal downloads? I am soooooooooo tired of the record labels whining when they do not offer an alternative for anyone who wishes to pay and legally download music. This past weekend I tried Pressplay and Emusic pay services. Pressplay is a joke and if this is the recording industry's answer to p2p then they are smoking somethin'. Emusic, the service from mp3.com, at least gives you unlimited 128kbps mp3's to download and burn. Unfortunately their music is mostly independent labels. I actually did subcribe for 3 months to emusic. It is quite nice to download at 250-300 kb/s. So until the record labels pull their heads out of their %#@ and offer an alternative I say give me my p2p. p.s. I would be curious to find out how much money the RIAA is wasting on trying to stop file sharing. |
