Default Kazaa and Grokster joining Gnutella?

I have an contact that works for the RIAA and he said that the FastTrack Network would soon be shutdown.

Do yall think Kazaa or Grokster will join Gnutella?

No, they have a different protocol. That would mean for them to rewrite their clients and they are busy with their lawsuits at the moment.

I think they will join Gnutella until they have a new protocol.

Many people think not that Gnutella is the best...

If they create an own protocol they are free to do what they want without any discussions.

They can asked money for their protocol.

They could loose users to "better" or Spyware free Gnutella clients...

etc. etc.

Try to think like a company with 2.500.000 users... why should they use a protocol with about 100.000 users?

How long do you think that it would take them to make their own proocol?

I thought that FastTrack was NOT a centralized network but you can still see how many users and files are on the network?
