![]() Can anybody tell me which Gnutella client(s) make the names of their shares (as returned to others' searches) equal to the name of the file plus the path of the file? Every client I've used so far returns only the name of the file. My hard drive is full of files like: c:\anime\series_name\Episode 03.asf c:\mp3\artist_name\album\song_title.mp3 with "c:\anime" and "c:\mp3" being shared out. So anyone who hits on these files will only see "Episode 03.asf" or "song_title.mp3", with no clue as to the series or artist. This is the way that thousands of files on my computer are organized, and I do not plan to go renaming all of them--so I could really use a Gnutella client that would return search results like "anime - series_name - Episode 03.asf". Then people would know what they weregetting. I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I can assure you that I've spent many hours searching the 'Net and asking around at college, with no success. By the way, I'm currently using Qtella 0.5.3 and would prefer a Linux client over a Windows one. |

![]() I don't know if any client does it now, but new BearShare (4.1.0) will have feature which let you choose if you want to check queries against the file path or not. But the path will not be shown even if that feature is used, I guess. It may be also that the client you're using is ripping the path off from the query reply and shows you only the filename. I'm not developing any client, I'm just guessing with this issue. |
