![]() Is there any new Gnutella programs in development that uses a TCP port other than 6346?(If thats even possible) My college has blocked that port off. I've tried using Filetopia, which uses a TCP of 443, and it works but the lack of users and content frustrates me. |

![]() Virtually every Gnutella program allows you to use ports other than 6346, going back to the original Gnutella (v0.56 and I believe the ones before that). And there are plenty of servents out there using ports other than 6346. Let me look in my cache starting at the top which are good servents - 9282, 6346, 5634, 4 6346's, 7005, 5 6346's, 6348, 9 6346's, 6348 etc. I'd say 10-20% of good servents are on a port other than 6346. I often make mine port 80 so that it will be easier for people with restrictive firewalls to hit it. So change your port to some other number and check out GWebcache for some non-6346 Gnutella hosts to get you plugged in |
