Gnut hosts?

Disclaimer: I've run searches on this just to make sure I didn't miss out on any information that may have already been posted. :)

I've installed Gnut on my Slackware 8.1 box so I can SSH into it from work, search and download stuff... If there's another client I can use, let me know. Must be command line though.

Using nmap I've made sure that port 5634 is open and listening whenever gnut is launched, so theoretically it should be able to send/receive information... When launching, it cannot find the .gnut_hosts file - I've read on FAQ's that I could d/l this from somewhere, but Gnut doesn't appear to have much support, so I can't seem to find it. In any case, even when I try to open any of the servers listed on the FAQ's or in the forums I've found here, the client does nothing and using info doesn't show any server connections.

Anyone have a clue about this software? Seems kinda sketchy to me, but just let me know if I've missed anything.

Thanks!
