Do u know a good mac p2p app?
 

Hi mates

I've been using xolox for a while now and in general its a good prog, but a friend of mine is a mac user and wants to use a p2p program but is having doubts about limewire due to the spyware content, please advise if you know a good mac file sharing app

Despite of the so called spyware I think Limewire is the best and most advanced client for mac, so you might check it out.

I will have a word with my chum, but out of interest do anyone know some other mac p2p's?

You mean other filesharing programs for mac?
Yeah, there's another filesharing network (not gnutella) called
Hotline which is quite common on mac and which is in fact really
cool. Its like a FTP server where you can download and upload,
chat and post news, quite cool.

Apart from Limewire, you have Phex, Mactella, and the Limewire clones (which do not have spyware). All these are Gnutella clients.

Most mac users have already switched to this. I use it exclusively.

I guess because Acquisition is based on Limewire so its quite the same?

I did mention it (Limewire Clones).
