How Do I Freaking Download Songs Faster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm a new user and a very angry one too. i'm angry
because it takes like 4 Freaking hrs to download one freaking song and i want to know what files are quicker to download on a 56k modem. i also want to know if i could resume downloading incomplete files that are in my library and if i can how do i remove the freaking files from my library. finally, how do i transfer songs that are
downloaded onto my computer to a cd?

patience, speed is usually ok

You have to be a little patient with gnutella. The network is growing and developing constantly.
I get and share many files quite well on a 56 k modem.

The file you copied may of been served from a computer with slow bandwith. However I have never had a download that is that slow. It may be your location just had a busy internet. Check

to see the status of the networks

Also for faster downloads turn off sharing and stop connecting to hosts. I also turn off the graphics in my web browser because Im on a 56 k modem.

That sucks. That is just lame and selfish - did I say it sucks too? Well, it sucks. It really sucks!
Set your host connections to 2 or 3 and uploads (sharing) takes little away from downloads because you only need small outgoing handshake packets to get a file.
Play with it a bit and tune it as you go. You will find that uploads don't slow you down much. Yes most clients resume but you didn't say what you are using. If a download is going too slow, stop that one and try another IP address. At 56K you should get files at 2K Bytes per second and above most times, if you download two at the same time from two different places it seems to work better speed wise.

Those slow downloads are a pain. But what I want to know is does it make your but itch?
