Unhappy Firewall gone berzerk

I'm using a Mac running OSX 10.2 with Norton Personal Firewall 2. The problem I've had since I started using Acquistion 0.82 is that even when I'm not using it I get around 10 hits from the Gnutella network every second. My hard drive has litterally gone berzerk as a result of all the logging it has to do and annoyingly makes a repetitive lurching sound every second which is driving me round the bend! I'm sure that if I could somehow remove my IP address from the Gnutella cache then this problem would be cured and my hard drive could finally rest. I have no idea how I can do this though. At the moment I am simply having to switch off my modem during the time I'm not using the internet. That shuts it up!
I used to use Limewire in OS9.2 and got a few hits (about 20 a day) on my firewall from the Gnutella network when I wasn't using the program and that was not a problem.

Hello!

There is no solution to this problem. You simply have to stop using Gnutella for awhile untill the Cache's out there have drained your IP out. It can take a couple of days. What you can do however if you want to keep using Gnutella which I am sure you will. Then you can set the FireWall to not display those warnings but instead have them sent to you as mails or even turn those warnings off completely(Check yor FireWall manual). That way you will not be irritated. Atleast this option is available in Netbarrier. I am not sure about Norton though. You can also ofcourse try to go back to LimeWire.
