Unhappy AIM and Internet Explorer Unexpectedly Freezing?

I am operating a system 10.2.2 Mac(If to be any help). I have been using limewire for weeks, updating when ever the start-up icon would propose. However, on the latest update after I installed Limewire, my Internet Exploer (5.2?) and my AIM (4.5.995?) will completely freeze up while I was using them. Since the Internet and AIM had been working before the new Limewire, I uninstalled Limewire and found, not to my surprise, that they worked again (which is how I am writing this). Now, if you're thinking it was a faulty download, not the case. I've downloaded it around 3 other times. I hope no one finds me to be a lost cause. Limewire is great software that I hope to be able to use again.

LimeWire takes a lot of system rescources, so you should not run explorer or AIM while your running LimeWire. Running too many programs at once depleats your system rescources causing your computer to freeze up.

too, if you haven't run the System Preferences ->Software Update for a while, 10.2.2 is now up to 10.2.6. I can't remember which update also updated Explorer and Java.
You can check if your resources are being overloaded by running the Process Viewer found in your Utilities folder. There are ways to limit LW so you can browse and chat at the same time.
(you'll probably need to do a Safe Boot and Repair Permisssions as well to get your OS up to speed).

Cheers--post back if you'd like the links.
