skips and blips

Any way to download without the blips and skips in the songs. Lately everything I download has small skips.

Is this the new encoding being done by the industry to discourage downloads.

Try another player. I get very different quality on different players. Some systems can use one player well and others not.

I use QCD, Winamp, Windows Media Player & MusicMatch Juke Box, all these I find work well and produce good quality.

Some of the in-built players in p2p clients are not up to scratch

If it's still bad..then, it's the file that's bad..better delete it and start again.

There are many reasons why you may have 'skips' and 'blips' which are NOT caused by any problems with a file... and that could be the cause of one player having problems and another not...

The usual simple culprit is that you need to defragment your Hard Disk Drive.
(Something that should be done with regularity, anyway !)

I am currently writing a post on the problems involved with 'skips' and 'scratches' and such... Should be done with it in the next days...
