Error Message

I keep getting "Could not find a port to use for incoming connections. Please specify a port from the config window". I get this message on LimeWire and a similar message on Bearshare. What am I doing wrong. I'm sure it's been covered a hundred times, but if someone could help, I would really appreciate it.

P.S. I am logged onto AOL 6.0 when this message occurs. It occurs when I am not on internet also.

Sounds like some other program is already using the same port that you are trying to use with LimeWire and BearShare. Have you tryied using a different port. In BearShare you can click on the Network tab and change the port to something else.

AOL might also be doing something weird, but someone else will have to answer AOL questions.

The specific message on Bearshare is "Couldn't listen on port(x) because WSAESOCKTNoSupport". (x)=whichever port number chosen. I attempted to change the port number w/ no success. It must be the same problem occuring with Bearshare and Limeware. I'll check wit AOL.
