cant connect to ares, i dont use a firewall

whats wrong?

When LW is open, click Tools->Options & go to Bug report & click for an example. In the window that appears scroll down to the part that says: "Recieved incoming this session". If it says ‘True’ then LW has no problem with firewalls, but if 'False' it does have a prob.

I keep receiving a connection message that says that i may not have an internet connection on or may be behind a firewall, but i've configured my firewall as instructed to connect to 6346, but i'm still not having any luck, and that message u referred to above is false on mine, i've tried a few different clients, but still to no avail, any advice would be appreciated.

OK you'll need to list all your tech details so we can sort this out: OS version, M$ Security Pack's, Java version, connection type, Java version, LW version, Router type, anti-virus apps, where you're connecting from; home, work, school, etc. Any other relevant information that you think may help.

i am having the same problem iv dun all wat uv sed n dun the firewall stuff n the test thing and it ses false n to be honest im not much of a computer person so i have no idea wat im doing!!
i dont no most of the stuff u askd but iv got Limewire 4.0.8 and windows xp n im at home uh iv got noton anitvirus for auto protect and internet security n im on btinternet n im not sure about the rest so any help from this wood b soooooo much appreciated! thanx! x
