Sound

I have windows xp pro. I have downloaded Limewire and Java 1.4. Everything is great except that the playback of the downloaded music is all broken up...to the point that you can't understand it. I expiramented by downloading music and burning a cd and it sounded fine. What's wrong?It's broken up on the limewire player and windows media player.
