![]() When stepping through shared files, I see (in many cases) files, that lie on a host with IP 192.168.x.x These are obviously unroutable hosts because they're in a private class C-Network, so a download from such a source could never succeed! Am I wrong with this? Is a download possible? And: why are people sharing files, if they don't want uploads? Better do not share any files :-( So far, scotti |

![]() You are only right if you are not part of the private network. If the PC is in your network you can download files from them. They need to share files because otherwise they want be able to download files from other users since most clients do not allow so called freeloaders. |

I have full sympathy for freeloaders if they uses a dialup modem- or isdn-connection. Because filesharing would be expensive! But its not a good way to offer unreachable files. Thats bad for the usability of this network! |
