I'm not sure for windows. I think you may need language support packages. Which language do you want to use? Some Gnutella programs have in-built language support. Since I don't know which one you're using or what you're wanting to do other than use another language on your computer, I can't really advise much.

Let me guess, you're using LW & it shows up in the wrong language is that right? If yes, then see Wrong language & how to change it back

To change the language used for menus and dialog boxes
Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
On the Languages tab, under Language used in menus and dialogs, click the language you want.
Notes

To open Regional and Language Options, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options.
This option is only available in the Windows Multilingual User Interface Pack. If you are interested in this product, please contact the Microsoft office nearest you for more information

That's how it's done in windowsXP should be similar for windows me.

Fabion uses XP & I use win 2k which should be similar. But I don't know much about windows. However I did find options as the image below shows where you can change language. I don't know if this is helpful or not. But it is the control panel where you change your language options. You'll have language options in both boxes & in the advanced option you can also select the font type to make available.

Contrary to Mac os x or most Linux distros, windows OS are usually in only one language. If you got a french system, well learn french, I can help ya!
