Well, I care. The majority of computer users do not even know what spyware is. They are usually the real victims of spyware, and are often infected by spyware clients. You have done a lot to remedy this situation, however. Thanks Morgwen! You have done as much for the Gnutella community as any of the developers, IMHO at least.

Yes I care about the spyware, too! But I hope/know that many will switch over to Xolox or other clients, especially now after bearshare will use cydoor!

Morg, you should really try to keep up to date on these things. BearShare 2.6 does not come with cydoor. Cydoor elicited a hell of a responce by just about everyone at BearShare.net and it looks like Freepeers is reexamining their options.

Yes you are right I should REALLY test every version of every client immediatly, because I have no private life!

And of course I have to read ALL websites that I know which client released a new version! Did you see that Becker don´t updated his annoucement?

I don´t visit bearshare.net very often so if somebody is more up to date he can post his infos here but don´t expect that I can know everything!

i don't give a damn about spyware or anything else as long as i get my stuff for free and easy. I get everything off KaZaA...

I'm sorry John you are soooo wrong. Gator is one of the "best" spyware and slimeware. Yes, it "helps" you fill in your form while it checking out where and what you doing on the net. One other great "helper without the spyware is "roboform"( http://www.roboform.com/), it's even have a password "generator". Recoment by PC Magazin becauce it have no spyware. An other "super" spy is "Bonzi", it will take over, even change you browzer, and all the time it will tell you "why don't we go to my favorit sites" and the it takes to a shop site.
I using "ADWare" to clean out all spyware about every day or when i closeing down my internet conection. (Ok so I'm little paranoid, but every week i kill about 5 - 10 spyware that I have got'n on line.)
