TCP SYN flood (DoS attack)

I've used many of the clients and have noticed over the past few days that there is little to no upload activity. With blackice I've noticed that my node is being attacked by a request flood (TCP SYN flood).

Is this a problem other users have experienced who have tried to actually serve content?
