I use Limewire...the pro version does nothing to eliminate viruses.

Thank you for the response. If you are having the same problem and you pay for the full version. Then i do not need to spend money on the problem.

I use Limewire Pro, but that doesn't mean that I download viruses

I just follow the advice given in these forums to avoid them

Fake files showing up in search results
How to filter porn & spam
How to find music
How to use Bitzi

Good Luck

Snowqueen

How could you have paid for LW when it is FREE, you only have to pay for LW Pro and that cost only $18.88 (which includes 6 months worth of tech support and updates/upgrades).

Seems like you got your LW from a scam site.

How can you in one thread completely deny limewire has viruses and in this thread state you know how to avoid them? Do you actually know what you are taking about? I suppose today your story is you get viruses from time to time but know how to remove them by using Mr. Clean.

I'll make this simple.

Limewire is a computer program. It is available from limewire.com. You can download and install this program without infecting your computer. Therefore, this computer program DOES NOT contain viruses. Scan Limewire. You won't find any viruses.

Now, if you use this program to connect to someone's computer and download a virus from them, does this mean that Limewire has a virus? No. If you use Internet Explorer to download a virus does this mean that IE contains a virus? No.

I know how to avoid downloading viruses WITH Limewire. Not FROM Limewire.

Ignore the advice in the forums. Go infect yourself!
