Which gnutella clients use SpyWare?
 

Can someone tell me which gnutella clients use spyware and which do not? I'm a gnutella newbie and I don't want to use a client with Spyware.

The installation is optional...

In Limewire the installation of cydoor isn´t optional yet - but this will change in future...

My favourite client... I use many...

Limewire, under Linux it is free of spyware...
Xolox
Peeranha (it is an alpha which I test - but very good!)
I will have a look on the new Gnucleus beta too...

I have DSL, I like fast downloads...

and I use some other non Gnutella clients like eDonkey...

My suggestion is pick one or two Gnutella clients and one of each other net! Each net has his strenght!

Do you have a 56k modem?

Then try WinMX and Gnotella too... they have no multi source download yet...

The bearshare ratings are faked, but the zeropaid crew is reworking the rating system!

Do never install any ads...

and check it with ad-aware:

Btw, a fine, non spyware gnutella client is gnucleus!

Limewire PRO does not have spyware, but you will have to pay the 6 bucks.

Or compile your own .
