* Fasttrack is bigger (it's got about 10x as many users as Gnutella)
* Fasttrack has just one client (in reality) Gnutella has got many, - that's one of the reasons Gnutella is not as effective
* Fasttrack supports hashing (which some people do consider very important, although it is not)
* Fasttrack is good for downloading big and popular files. - Downloading movies via gnutella is possible, but it's a pain.
* Gnutella is an open protocol
* Gnutella is even more decentralized
* Gnutella has got IMHO the better search-function (try searching fasttrack for the one rare david bowie song, you were always looking for, but you don't know the title...)
* Gnutella is one of the best networks for downloading mp3s |
