Default How does a peer leave the Gnutella network?

hey all

I've been doin some research about how peers join and disjoin from a gnutella network. I've got enuf information about how they join and content location,

but i dont seem to find anything about the case when a peer wishes to leave the network, either through graceful connection termination, or abrupt disconnection.

I would be really pleased if anyone could kindly explain or post some resource links to How Does Connection termination occur between connected peers in both cases of graceful closure and abrupt disconnection.

Thanks in advance

Right Click on Limewire Splash in the system tray. This will give you 2 exiting options.

1. "Graceful Closure?" Exit After Transfers.

2. "Abrupt Disconnection?" EXIT

I Guess this might be what your looking for. If not post back

As far as I know there never was a need or attempt to send a "bye". The network was designed to
be very robust that way, hence the host caches, plenty of alternate connection info in headers
and several types of bootstrap server.
